Prior to establishing Wilbert Custom Homes, LLC in 2004, Joe worked for Brazos County Juvenile Service. During his tenure at Brazos County, he supervised 40 juvenile detention officers; conducted leadership and staff trainings; managed the day to day operations; and maintained timesheets, evaluations and assessments. He was a strong and dedicated team player.

Joe's experience at Brazos County provided him with valuable insight concerning home building. His previous career was the stepping stone to preparing him to follow his dream, custom home building. Joe is not only following his dream but he is helping others to bring theirs to reality. As the general contractor, Joe oversees the building process from beginning to end. He handles all aspects of the project including scheduling workers, hiring specialized subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.) and ordering supplies.

Joe studied and researched home building in order to totally understand the day-to-day operations from beginning to end of designing and building a custom home. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Sociology.

Joe is also the proud father of three boys Romello, Jacob and Joseph.
